For more than three decades, Wayne Hartley has built an international reputation for exceptional hairdressing, creative education and beautiful photographic work.
Today, Wayne works as an independent stylist from the prestigious Ozzie Rizzo salon in Richmond, offering a truly personal, one-to-one hair experience for clients who value expertise, creativity and outstanding service.
Wayne's hairdressing journey began in New Zealand, where he owned and operated Shape Hair Design in Wellington for 28 years. During that time, the salon became one of New Zealand's leading hairdressing destinations, earning an outstanding reputation for technical excellence, creativity and customer care.
After relocating to the UK, Wayne opened Shape Hair Design in Teddington, where he continued to build a loyal client base and establish himself as one of the area's most respected hairdressers. Today, he has taken the next step in his career, working independently within the luxurious surroundings of Ozzie Rizzo in Richmond.

As a dedicated educator and presenter, Wayne has showcased his work at industry events across the USA, Australia and New Zealand, sharing his expertise with fellow hair professionals and inspiring the next generation of stylists.
Wayne has also produced educational training videos and regularly contributed to fashion and hair publications, helping to shape trends and techniques within the industry.

A talented photographer, Wayne has produced editorial photography and step-by-step styling features for popular magazines, including Women's Day. He has created complete looks, styled models and produced the photography to accompany features.
Many of the images you see throughout this website have been styled, coloured and photographed by Wayne himself. This unique combination of hairdressing and photography allows him to understand exactly how hair works from every angle.

Cancellation Policy
As Hair by Wayne Hartley is a private, one-to-one service, every appointment is reserved exclusively for you.
Please provide at least 48 hours' notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment.
Cancellations within 48 hours may incur a charge of 50% of the booked service. Cancellations within 24 hours, or missed appointments without notice, may incur a charge of up to 100% of the booked service.
Genuine emergencies will always be considered individually.
